I served in the Air Force for eight years.  Prior to exiting the military, I served as Deputy Chief of Minority Enrollment at the United States Air Force Academy.  I continued to work at the college level outside of the military and, most recently, directed and administered career counseling and academic support services at the Stark County Community Action Agency in Ohio.  As the Veterans Center Coordinator, I am responsible for overseeing WCU’s veteran student services.  I am a liaison between WCU and the Department of Veteran's Administration (DVA).  I guide and mentor prospective and enrolled student veterans and eligible family members through all phases of their university career in areas specific to their needs.  If I can help in any way, feel free to contact me at lmorrison@wcupa.edu or via phone at 610.436.2862.  My office is located in the Veterans Center. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, I served as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman with various units of the United States Marine Corps and Navy’s Seabees on both East and West Coasts. I was fortunate to participate in both humanitarian and combat deployments to South America and Iraq. I was active in student veteran organizations during my undergraduate career at both the community college and 4-year institution levels. After graduating from Temple University I worked for Montgomery County’s Veteran’s Affairs Office as the Homeless Veterans Outreach Officer and accredited Veteran Service Officer. I bring an in-depth knowledge of federal, state and local benefits application processes and the desire to continue to serve fellow Veterans however I am able. Please do not hesitate to contact me at the Veterans Center or via email. My office hours are Monday: 1000 – 1500, Tuesday: 0830 – 1330, and Thursday: 1130 – 1630.
