How long are positions posted online?
Staff positions are typically posted for 15 calendar days as specified in the union contract. Most Management/Professional level positions have an open-ended deadline until the position is filled.

How long does it take to fill a position?
The time that it takes to fill a position depends on many variables which include recruitment, position type, advertising time, etc. There are search committees involved in the application review and interview process so coordination of schedules should be considered.

What should I expect after I apply for a position?
Staff positions have deadline dates.  Interviews are typically scheduled 1-2 weeks after the deadline date.  Management/professional positions do not have deadlines, rather they are open-ended until the position is filled.  Committees are formed for these level positions and depending on schedules, could take up to one month after posting date for the scheduling of interviews. If you are the selected candidate for the position, you will receive an offer of employment from the Chairperson of the search committee by phone.  If you are not a selected applicant you will be notified by mail.
