This dynamic graduate program encourages teachers to utilize the power of reflection, collaboration, and inquiry to energize and expand professional practice. The program is designed for experienced educators and promotes collaborative work with peers and with faculty. Coursework is designed to strengthen links between theory and practice to construct new understandings of curriculum, instruction, assessment, community context, and educational change.
Prospective students must hold a Pennsylvania Level I certificate, or its equivalent, and have completed one year of full-time satisfactory PK-12 teaching experience in a public or private school.

This advanced degree program is designed to prepare individuals for leadership positions in the field as master teachers, administrators, and advocates for young children and their families. Developed according to the 2009 NAEYC Advanced Program Standards, the coursework and clinical experiences in the graduate program provide individuals with the breadth and depth of knowledge they need in order to become effective early childhood leaders. The program has two tracks: Accomplished Teachers and Program Administrators.
The program is enrolling for a new cohort scheduled to begin January, 2014.
