Access to the Lab
During class sessions, access to the lab is restricted to only those students who are registered for that class. The lab graduate assistant (GA) and/or the GIS specialist is available during class hours for your benefit and pleasure! Esteban Romero is in the Anderson Lab on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am-4pm, and in the Ruby Jones Lab on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-4pm. For the GA's hours, please check the schedule information.
The GIS Labs open whenever the respective buildings are open. If you wish to use the lab on weekends and after hours, you will need to obtain a pass from either your instructor or lab assistant during the week. When you come to campus after hours, present the pass at the Public Safety Office located in the Peoples Building on the corner of South Church St. and University Ave. You will be asked to show your student ID before the lab will be opened up to you.
Students should not open the lab door for anyone who does not have the door key code. If a person has a legitimate reason for being in the lab, he/she will know the door code. If you are in the lab late at night and are uncomfortable leaving the building, you can call Public Safety at X3311, or 610-436-3311. Public Safety will send an escort to the lab who will walk you to your car or dorm, at no charge. This is a campus-wide option.
