WHYY spotlighted WCU Opera Theatre's Alice Tierney, composed by alumna Melissa Dunphy '09, as it brings a 19th-century unsolved murder to life. The opera debuts November 15-16, blending history and modern perspectives with music. Dunphy's work highlights forgotten stories and evolving interpretations of the past.

The Country Expo kicks off the week on Monday, November 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Sykes Student Union Ballrooms. International students will showcase the cultures and traditions of their home countries and study abroad alumni will be on hand to discuss their experiences. Campus partners will highlight scholarship opportunities for international education, tips and tricks for an international experience on a resume, and more.
