Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professorship in Mathematics


Join a vibrant campus community whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student success.  West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Mathematics seeks applicants for tenure-track assistant/associate professorship(s) in the Department of Mathematics starting August 2014.  Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics and have experience as a teacher at the university level.  Candidates must have demonstrable excellence in both teaching and research.  Responsibilities include: teaching up to 4 courses per semester, including service courses; advising majors; and serving on departmental and university-wide committees.



Preference will be given to candidates who show that they can:

  • enhance or complement the Department’s research interests;
  • provide leadership in the development of undergraduate/graduate research initiatives;
  • contribute to the development of the Department’s programs;
  • attract external funding.

Finalists must successfully complete an interview process including a teaching demonstration and a research talk to the Department’s faculty and upper-level students.
