Green Building and Homes
Green Building LLC – an independent publishing company committed to bringing their members accurate, unbiased, and timely green design information.

Building Green brings the best research, thinking, and writing to you through many publications, including Environmental Building News, the GreenSpec directory of green products, and the Building Green Suite of online tools.

Building provides objective, high-quality information about buildings. This resource combines building physics, systems design concepts, and an awareness of sustainability to promote the design and construction of buildings that are more durable, healthier, more sustainable and more economical than most buildings that are built today.

The U.S. Green Building Council is a non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation.

Sustainable Landscaping
There is a lot we can do in our own yards to promote sustainability. Here are some links to further information:

  • The Sustainable Sites Initiative is an interdisciplinary effort by the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the United States Botanic Garden to create voluntary national guidelines and performance benchmarks for sustainable land design, construction and maintenance practices.
  • The American Society of Landscape Architects is the national professional association representing landscape architects. ASLA promotes the landscape architecture profession, and advances the practice through advocacy, education, communication, and fellowship.
  • 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania is an alliance of organizations and individuals committed to enhancing the quality of life for all Pennsylvanians.
  • The ASLA also has a Pennsylvania/Delaware Chapter.
  • The Environmental Protection Agency's Greenacres site has ample amount of information on green landscaping.
