Biography

Dr. Eirini Panagiotidou's research focuses on the intersection of linguistics and literature, with a particular emphasis on literary linguistics, cognitive poetics, and the study of iconicity in language. Her work explores how language shapes and reflects human cognition, especially in literary contexts. She has a keen interest in ekphrasis, the representation of visual art through words, and intertextuality, examining how texts influence and interact with one another. These themes are central to her book, The Poetics of Ekphrasis (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022), where she delves into the intricate relationship between language, art, and meaning.
