No, there is no cost to sign up for WCU ALERT/e2campus. However, your phone carrier may charge for receiving text messages.

Parents cannot subscribe directly to WCU ALERT, however, each student is able to add additional email addresses and cell phone numbers to their account. The WCU student must follow these directions:

WCU ALERT/e2campus can send messages to any device that can receive text messages (SMS) through cellular service, such as cell phones, text pagers, BlackBerrys, and some wireless PDAs. In addition, you can also opt to have the messages sent to your e-mail address.
The WCU Alert system will be activated when there is a critical need to transmit urgent information.
