Whether you are straight out of college, switching careers, or looking to increase your current potential, the West Chester University staff is here to help you along the way. Below you will find some important information on the upcoming Graduate Student Orientation and FAQs to help start off your graduate career on the right foot.
If you have yet to visit West Chester University, please feel free do so before you begin your program. Head to our Visit Us page to register for an Open House, Information session, or even a Campus Tour.
If you are having difficulty paying, please contact the Bursar's Office at 610-436-2552.
The deposit is not posted to your account until the following business day. It could take up to 48 hours for your account to be activated.
Please note that while most programs have a deadline of one month from the day of your acceptance, some programs may have short timelines for the deposit (for example, Communicative Disorders). If you need an extension, please contact the Graduate Studies Office at 610-436-2943
Once you have paid your $100 deposit, you will need to activate your account and initialize your password.
It is recommended that all students contact their Graduate Coordinator or Advisor first to discuss coursework prior to enrollment.
Please note that the following programs either register their own students (thus you will not have access to do so via your myWCU) or require you to meet before registering yourself. If you have any questions or concerns about when you will be enrolled or what courses you are going to be taking, please contact your specific department.

If you have financial aid, you will need to ACCEPT your aid via myWCU. For more information on Financial Aid, call 610-436-2627 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once your student aid has been accepted, log into myWCU and click "ACTIVATE STUDENT ACCOUNT". This will need to be done even if your account balance is 0 after your financial aid. For more information on paying your bills, please visit the Bursar's Office.
