The American Cancer Society has set a challenge goal to reduce overall cancer mortality 40% by 2035. West Chester University has partnered with the ACS through the HEALED Movement, to assist with the challenge.
HEALED: Health and Energy through Active Living Every Day
HEALED is a community movement to educate and encourage people to live healthier lives in the present moment. Research shows that a more active lifestyle can reduce cancer risk, improve quality of life, and minimize the physical and psychological side effects after a cancer diagnosis. The HEALED Community Movement’s goals are to reduce suffering and death due to cancer and to create a supportive community for cancer survivors, caregivers and loved ones. The faculty of the WCU College of Health Sciences have developed a webinar series specifically designed for the HEALED community.
