Biography

Dr. Sunger is an environmental engineer with interests in human health risk and exposure analysis. She joined West Chester University in fall semester of 2014 as Assistant Professor. Dr. Sunger teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental health, microbial risk, and waste management. Prior to joining WCU, she was a post-doctoral research fellow at The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, MI. During her post-doctoral fellowship, she designed computer-based exposure analysis programs to enhance rapid screening of industrial chemicals for human health safety. Dr. Sunger is a member of the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the Association of Environmental Engineering & Science Professors (AEESP), and the International Society of Exposure Science (ISES).
