When Will I Hear My Decision?
You've submitted your application to West Chester University – congrats!
But now what? When will you hear back about your admissions decision?
You can’t receive a decision until your application is complete. A completed application includes paying the $45 application fee or submitting an approved fee waiver and sending in your official high school transcript (for first year applicants) or official college transcripts (for transfer applicants). WCU is test-optional for Fall 2021 admission, which means that SAT and/or ACT scores are not required. Some programs have additional requirements, so check your application portal to make sure that your application checklist is complete. Once your checklist is complete, your application is ready for review!
At West Chester University, we have rolling admissions. This means that we do not have a strict application deadline; we do not follow Early Action or Early Decision timelines.
The Office of Admissions prioritizes applications based on the strength of the academic credentials. This means that the strongest applicants hear back about their decisions first. If your academic profile is not as strong, we may reach out to you to ask for additional materials, such as senior year grades. Some applicants may be referred to an admissions committee for a second review.
The Office of Admissions starts reviewing applications in mid-October, which means our first round of acceptance packets are sent at the end of October. You will also receive an email and notification on your admissions portal of your admissions decision.
If you have questions about the status of your application or the admissions process, feel free to reach out to us at ugadmiss@wcupa.edu or 610-436-3411. As always, we are here to help you!
