Vision
The West Chester University College of Arts and Humanities will be a regional innovator
in education that cultivates interdisciplinary collaboration, artistic and cultural
programming, and inclusive and engaged citizenship. Our faculty and staff will champion
student access and success so that students can learn the skills and strategies they
need for successful and fulfilling lives at WCU and beyond.
Mission
The College will:
- Offer academic programs that develop skills and flexibility through experiential learning opportunities
- Generate new knowledge through scholarly and creative endeavors
- Foster creativity, curiosity, civic engagement, and critical thinking through a rich liberal arts curriculum that instills a capacity for productive action
- Provide opportunities for members of our community to connect, share ideas, and understand a variety of perspectives so that we build empathy for a more inclusive world
