Shannon Cooper is the Owner/Artistic Director of Shannon Cooper's Academy of Dance located in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Shannon is a graduate of WCU with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Dance Minor in Choreography. Shannon has been teaching dance in the Lancaster, Chester and Delaware County areas for over twenty years. She received her early training in Lancaster County where she competed in all styles of dance. She continued her training at WCU, Koresh, Broadway Dance Center and area conventions like Monsters of Hip Hop, Artists Simply Human, Titans, Groove, The Pulse, Beyond the Stars and New York City Dance Alliance. Shannon currently teaches Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and Hip Hop for students age two through eighteen. She was a member of the Contemporary Company Opus 1 Dance and the Hip Hop Company Flomotion. In addition to teaching at her own dance studio she also choreographs for Beat Addikts United which is a hip hop showcase that brings together dancers from all over the Tri State area. New this year, she is teaching an after school dance club to seventh and eight grade students at North Brandywine Middle School in Coatesville.
