John Hess

Bio
John Hess teaches college courses in Finance, Economics, and Marketing (Entrepreneurship). He retired after a successful career as an executive in the financial services industry, including C-level positions leading the information technology organizations at those companies. Hess also has vast experience as a small business mentor through a national non-profit, SCORE.
He brings his experiences from the private sector and working with entrepreneurs to make the content he delivers relevant and timely.
Leveraging his professional career and work with hundreds of entrepreneurs, he is an expert in the areas of small business formation, planning, financial modeling, marketing, pricing, data research, and risk management.
His areas of interest and research align with his experience in how IT investment trends are impacting financial services. He is focused on the areas of how big data, cloud infrastructure, and artificial intelligence are impacting investment optimization, bank processing, and decision making.
