Bio
Dr. Deanne Zotter received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Kent State University. She joined the faculty at West Chester University (WCU) in 1991 and is currently a Professor in the Psychology Department. Zotter helped to develop the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology doctoral program (Psy.D.) at WCU and serves as the program’s Practicum Coordinator. She teaches primarily at the graduate level and oversees all doctoral-level practicum experiences. She is the founder and director of the Sister to Sister Peer Mentor Program at WCU, a program focused on improving body image, reducing eating disordered behaviors, and promoting empowerment and social action among sorority women on campus. Her teaching and research interests include eating disorders, body image, ethics, and psychotherapy training. Zotter regularly presents her research at national conferences and has published numerous research articles and book chapters on the topic of eating disorders. She is a licensed psychologist and maintained a small private practice for many years.
