WCU’S SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA OPENS SEASON WITH FREE CONCERT OF GERMAN MASTERS
West Chester University’s esteemed Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Joseph
Caminiti, opens its 2019-20 season with a program of German masters on Sunday, October
6 at 3 p.m. in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, 700 S. High Street, West Chester.
The concert is FREE and open to the public.
The program includes Mozart’s Overture from The Marriage of Figaro, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, and Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier Suite.
The 70-member student ensemble performs 5 - 6 concerts per year, both on and off campus. They perform standard symphonic repertoire as well as new compositions.
