West Chester University’s Department of Art + Design Showcases the Work of 2021 Graduates in Public ExhibitBFA Exhibit

Spring is in the air and art is on the walls! Though most live arts events on West Chester University’s campus have been postponed or delivered as virtual events during the Spring semester, the Department of Art + Design launched a public, live exhibit to showcase the work of 2021 BFA graduates from April 19 – May 14, 2021. Work is being exhibited in both campus galleries: the John H. Baker Gallery, E.O. Bull Center for the Arts, 2 E. Rosedale Avenue, and in Knauer Gallery, Swope Music Building and Performing Arts Center, 817 S. High Street, West Chester. Viewing of the exhibit is by appointment only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call 610.436.2755 or email Laurie Moran at BFA Exhibitlmoran@wcupa.edu to request an appointment or artinfo@wcupa.edu.

The BFA exhibition is a yearly display of graduating Senior's capstone projects. Called “The Senior Show" in the department, each student works on their capstone body of work for the duration of the semester, and the exhibit showcases a breadth of work from the graduating class.

Faculty curator and associate professor of art, Andrew Snyder says, “The Art + Design Department uses the gallery as another classroom. We believe it’s vital for artists to share their work, and are excited to give our 2021 graduates this time and space to celebrate some of what they have learned and created during their time at West Chester University.”
