Proving Real Achievement Matters, RAM Initiative Students Earn Certificates
The first three graduates of the University’s RAM (Real Achievement Matters) Initiative received their certificates of completion at two in-person commencement ceremonies
this spring.
Nate Seagraves and Emily Scott walked across the stage in Farrell Stadium on April 25 at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony for University College’s 2020 graduates.
The pair were the first enrollees in this program for non-degree seeking students with intellectual disabilities. RAM Initiative students have a full college-immersion experience at WCU. These students learn and interact with all students, faculty, staff, and administrators on campus, not in segregated environments. Students all complete internships as well, giving them life skills and experience.
Olivia Riehl became the third RAM Initiative student a year after Seagraves and Scott. She received her certificate of completion at the 9 a.m. ceremony for University College’s 2021 graduates on May 15.
