Jazz and Classical Guitar Instructor David Cullen Releases First Solo Album in 15 Years

Grammy Award-Winning guitarist David Cullen, who is an instructor of jazz and classical guitar at West Chester University’s Wells School of Music, has released his first solo album in 15 years.David Cullen

The album, title “Revival” was released on Friday, January 20 and is currently available on CD and streaming services including Spotify and Apple Music.

Cullen started playing guitar at the age of 7. He has enjoyed an extensive recording career and won a Grammy Award in 2005 for best pop instrumental album for his work on “Henry Mancini: Pink Guitar.” His playing has been hailed by the New York Times as "Jazz, Folk, Blues Superstructures.” He has performed throughout the United States and has recorded with both Windham Hill Records and Solid Air Records. His music is regularly featured NPR.

Cullen will perform at West Chester University on March 22 at 8 p.m. as part of the 33rd Annual Jazz Festival in the WCU Faculty Jazz concert.
