WCU’s Wells School of Music Presents Criterions Jazz Ensemble ConcertCriterions Jazz

The Criterions Jazz Ensemble is back with their big band sound on Friday, September 22, at 7:30 p.m. The concert takes place on West Chester University’s campus in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West Chester.  It can also be livestreamed. A full program for the evening is available online.

The Criterions performs a variety of big band traditional and contemporary jazz literature under the direction of Jonathan Ragonese. In this exciting season opener, the band is joined by two of New York’s musical sages, pianist Garry Dial and saxophonist Dick Oatts. This celebration of their friendship will include works from Brassworks, Dial & Oatts, Rediscovered Ellington, and That Music Always Round Me.

West Chester University's Department of Theatre and Dance presents Student Written One Acts (SWOAs) from March 21-23, 2025, in the J.P. Adler Studio Theatre, E.O. Bull Center for the Arts, 2 E. Rosedale Ave., West Chester. The production runs Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m.; Friday, March 22, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Saturday, March 23, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and available at wcupatix.com/theatreanddance.

Registration Now Open for PA Theatre Institute's Summer Camp at WCU

The Pennsylvania Theatre Institute summer camp at West Chester University (WCU) returns for the 8th summer with multiple sessions for students aged 8-14, and a separate session for high school-aged students. Camps will take place in WCU's state-of-the-art facilities in the E.O. Bull Center for the Arts, 2 E. Rosedale Avenue, West Chester.
