HONORS BRIDGE PATHWAY
First-year students earning a minimum 3.75 cumulative grade point average in their
first semester are invited to apply for the Honors College Bridge Pathway. Invited
students complete an application and participate in a virtual interview in early January.
Accepted students alter their spring schedule by adding in honors general education
courses, putting them on track for graduation with their peers.
A few of the benefits members are afforded:
- small class sizes (generally 15-24 students)
- access to specially designed interdisciplinary courses
- membership in the Honors Student Association
- access to Honors staff and office as information and support center
- special recognition at commencement
- eligibility to participate in Honors international study
Invitations are sent out to first year students after fall semester grades are posted.
Interviews will occur in early January. Candidates offered a seat in the Bridge Pathway
are expected to attend the Honors Symposium in August.

To remain in good standing in the Honors Bridge Pathway, students must:
- regularly schedule and complete Honors course offerings
- maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25
- earn a minimum grade of C+ in all honors coursework
To complete the Honors Core Program and receive recognition, students must:
- complete the 10 Core General Education Honors College courses
- maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25
- earn a minimum grade of C+ in all honors coursework
- A document of merit and medallion will be awarded at the Honors Spring Graduation
- If graduating in December, there will be a medallion ceremony in December and an invitation
to the Honors Spring Graduation
