TIMELY WARNING

West Chester University Public Safety received a report that a female WCU student was raped at approximately 2:30 AM on April 1, 2016. The female was on the second floor of the New Street Parking Garage when she encountered a male. The assailant has been identified as a WCU student and criminal charges for an arrest are forthcoming. The female described the male as college age, black, tall, thin, wearing a red shirt, possibly a hat. No further description was reported. A witness encountered the assault, at which time the male fled the scene. Anyone with additional information involving this crime should contact West Chester University Public Safety at 610-436-3311.

- The person(s) who initiate(s) a new level of sexual activity is responsible for getting consent for each level of intimacy.
- Limit your use of alcohol.
- Step in if you see a friend or acquaintance being taken advantage of or trying to take advantage of another person. Separate the individuals and make sure they get home safe.
