Implications for Financial Aid

How is financial aid impacted?

The current and/or impending closure of two major employers (Philadelphia Refinery and Hahnemann University Hospital) as well as the current and impending devastating impact of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Barry is impacting individuals across the country, our region, and right here on campus. If you or your family has been affected in any way, know that West Chester University offers resources to support students facing hardship especially with the start of the Fall 2019 semester right around the corner. Students and families who have had a change in income or circumstances since the time they have filed the FAFSA can apply for unusual circumstances in order to have their financial aid eligibility reevaluated. Please contact our office to make a phone appointment and discuss the required steps for an unusual circumstance review.

As always, there is a financial aid counselor on duty daily to answer your questions during business hours. You are welcome to stop by the Financial Aid Office at 25 University Avenue to meet with the Counselor of the Day (COD) or call or email our office. The COD schedule, along with contact information, is listed below. We are here to answer your questions and help you navigate the financial aid process.
