West Chester University supports two single-sign-on technologies: CAS and SAML. Below is some general information about our implemenation of both protocols.
CAS (Central Authentication Service) is a SSO protocol that allows people with a WCU Login Account to use that same account on many of web services such as _______, etc. The service is provided by a system called Shibboleth.
SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is a SSO protocol that allows people with a WCU Login Account to use that same account on many of web services such as Library Resourses, Zoom Meetings, RamCard Services, etc. The service is provided by a system called Shibboleth and is also utilitized for Federation of InCommon members.
SAML/Shibboleth Default Attributes
Features:
- Works with In-Common federated services.
- Supports Multifactor Authentication with Duo.
Requirements
- Service must support SAML and/or be part of InCommon
