Common Data Set
The Common Data Set (CDS) contains standardized data on a variety of items that pertain to the University. These include enrollment and persistence, admissions, expenses, degrees conferred, etc. The actual measures and calculations have been determined by the Common Data Set Advisory Board. By utilizing these standardized measures, all colleges ensure they are collecting comparable data that can then be easily reviewed by prospective students. This data set is utilized by various publishers when determining their annual college/university rankings.
