Are you interested in majoring in STEM but are unsure what your career options are or what majoring in STEM will be like? The Center for STEM Inclusion is here to help!

Please email CSI@wcupa.edu and let us know what STEM field you are interested in pursuing. We will get you in contact with a faculty member or one of your industry partners who can talk with you about what a STEM career looks like and what the available paths are to get there. Note: we are not here to sell you on WCU in particular. We can discuss your options, from community college and trade school to private vs public colleges.

Do you want to provide some extra STEM enrichment activities for your students in your classroom? WCU will bring all of the equipment and supplies needed to you and perform hands-on experiments with your students that relate to real-world applications with state-of-the-art equipment. Please check out our STEM catering services.

Would you like to expose your students to the various STEM workforce options and discuss what the path to a STEM career looks like? Please check out our STEM Workforce Development Workshops.

Would you like to arrange longer workshops? We have a 3-day coding workshop where your students will learn how to control SMART ROVERS using Python and Raspberry PIs. We also offer a Science of Learning Workshop, where we discuss the biology of human memory and how to use our understanding of the brain and information recall to help your students study more efficiently.

Would you like your students to come to the WCU campus and explore STEM activities with Undergraduate students? We offer several free events throughout the year, where busing and food are provided to student participants. These include:

Super Science Saturday

The Super Science Expo

The Summer Nanoscience Workshop

We can also arrange for tailored STEM Workforce Development visits where the students spend 3 hours on campus, do a 50-minute STEM activity from our STEM Catering Menu, have lunch in the cafeteria, and then participate in a Q&A with WCU undergraduate STEM majors and faculty. This is a first-come-first-serve offering, and busing and meals may be provided depending on availability. Please email CSI@wcupa.edu for more information.
