The Keystone LSAMP Alliance consists of four Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) institutions. LSAMP scholars will participate in a number of events at their home institutions as well as alliance-wide opportunities to meet the other scholars and present their research and internship activities. Participating PASSHE institutions include:
- West Chester University
- East Stroudsburg University
- Millersville University
- Slippery Rock University
LSAMP funding is available for students from the following groups that have been historically underrepresented in STEM fields: African Americans, Hispanic Americans, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Native Pacific Islanders.
Program Highlights
Summer Bridge Program
The Keystone scholars will receive a stipend of $1500 plus funds for housing, transportation, and supplies (up to $1265) to participate in a 2-week summer bridge program at the beginning of their first year at WCU.
Summer Research Program
The Keystone Scholars will receive a $2500 stipend to participate in a 4-week summer research program at the end of their first year in the program. Funds for housing, subsistence, transportation, and supplies up to $2730 are also available.
Co-Curricular Program Activities
Students are expected to participate in ~75% of the co-curricular program activities aimed at providing support to the scholars and gaining knowledge on career and internship opportunities, effective learning and support strategies for future Keystone Scholars.
