Submit Application

We encourage all qualifying students to apply to the LSAMP program. To be eligible for the program, the following requirements must be met:

Be a West Chester University student enrolled in a major in one of the following departments:
Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Complete the Application which includes a letter of recommendation, a statement about your interest and experience in STEM field and career goals, and a list of high school activities in and outside the classroom (including work)

Application Materials

Academic and Extracurricular Record

High school transcripts and high school activities inside and outside of the classroom will be reviewed.

Application Essay

The essay should be 400 – 500 words in length indicating your interest and experience in the STEM field and your career goals.

Recommendation Letter

One letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, counselor, or principal who can speak to your passion for and ability to succeed in a STEM field. A second letter of recommendation is recommended and can be solicited from any non-family member.

Potential Interview

Zoom interviews may be used to narrow down between potential candidates.
